Hey what do you know, it didn’t take me forever to make another post (when left with the alternatives right now this by far seems like the most interesting an engaging thing I could possibly be doing). So here are a few random, divided topically thoughts for today:

1. Too many Experts in the World

I have often times joked with people who when posed with a question would cautiously offer up an answer. I would point out to them, that all they had to do was safe it confidently and I would believe, because after all it’s not like I’d asked a rhetorical question.

Sadly this is really true, and evener sadder is that fact that people are now using this fact as their secret super power (mine happens to be sleep, what’s yours?) Just the other day I was talking with a friend whom I respect who started going off about something, and when i confronted him about the factual nature of what he was spewing, he started running in a wheel like a hamster. Running, but going no where fast.

Ever since then, I’ve come to realize that I know a lot of “experts”, and I’m left to wonder perhaps I too should be an expert

2. Music Speaks to My Soul

On more than one occasion I have remarked about the power of music and it’s ability to reach the depths of my soul that I work so hard to hide and protect from the outside world. Well I’ll say it again. It’s actually ironic, I can’t carry a tune in a bucket, I have a better chance of finding the ocean from the beach than the beat of most music, and well I have the rythm of your average caucasian software developer. And yet I can scale moutains, find companionship in the desolute pits of despair, and laugh at the silliness all because of music.

I suppose part of the power comes from the fact that music combines multiple “voices” that have the potential to create images and feelings with great depth and yet at the same time so much is left to the listeners imagination (this would probably explain my general dislike of music videos ) Music has the ability to transport me to places and times.

Somehow I’m not quite able to do this justice. What about you? What reaches you?

3. Why Do This?

I cannot answer that question. I suppose part of me has a desire to start outputting the thoughts that otherwise bounce back in worth in my head likes waves in a small glass. I suppose another part of me views it as (believe it or not) an exercise in discipline.

We’ll see…

Until next time. P E A C E

I have decided that this time around, just to make it interesting I am will actually take a stand about things :-) You know actually express an opinion or to and take the chance that it might upset a few apple carts along the way.

So more to follow soon…
